Thanks so much for a great week. My favorite part was just staring out the windows watching the horses & the birds. Just what I needed to get away from the crazy pace of Manhattan.

Beautiful, wonderful, serene, cozy, amazing - there just aren't enough words. It felt like we'd never get here, after having to reschedule our February trip, but we made it and we are overwhelmed!! The directions you gave were perfect & the drive was beautiful - fall leaves, light snow & gorgeous sunshine. When we arrived at the cabin it was breath taking. The view, the wildlife & especially the cabin. So warm & beautiful. You were leaving the day we arrived & we were so touched that everything was perfect - you even left the light on for us. The pictures of the two of you are so wonderful and really made us feel at home. :) We arrived planning to do and see everything but decided the cabin was the perfect place to be and spent much of our stay in front of the fire watching the animals play. The "food" for them did the trick. You guys have really thought of everything & it is appreciated so much.

We made a day of it & drove up thru Breckenridge & Keystone. The drive was incredible and we found tons of SNOW. For a day we were kids again! This trip was much needed and will never be forgotten. Thank you so much for sharing your PEACE with us. Our only regret- we didn't bring our 4 legged baby Jeremy. Next Time!

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. My husband and I ( and our dog Bear too) have made it a tradition to stay in a cabin on our anniversary for the past 8 years. We were unable to get here on our anniversary, but it was definately worth the wait! We plan to come back next year - maybe we can see a bear!

Thank you so much for allowing us the comfort of your cabin and especially for making it possible for our best friend "Trouble" to come with us. I think our dog Trouble was born to be in the mountains, as he turned out to be an excellent hiker. The cabin couldn't have been more to our liking if you had read our minds - furnishings, amenities, scenery, hiking trails, peacefulness, reading material. Pat also thanks you for having a shower head tall enough to accomodate his 6'3" frame. A typical day started with a hot shower, coffee and a little meditation on the deck while my hair dried in the warm sun, a hike up Meridian Trail with spectacular views(or sitting on the porch reading for the afternoon)- nights were very comfortable for sleeping and squirrel and chipmonk watching.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book "A Parting Gift" and will buy a copy when we get back to Austin. Also good reads were Annie Proulz's "Close Range" and the "Paper Conspiracy". The music of George Winston was wonderful morning music or the symphony music station on the TV. Oh well, Pat's thinking I'm writing a novel. So I'll say goodbye; sadly of course. I never thought about home, work and we always had to check the calendar for what day it was. That's our mark of a successful vacation. Thanks again!

Several months ago I decided this would be the summer I would show my 8 year old son the Rocky Mountains. To prepare him for the trip, we read stories about western expansion, the gold rush, wagon trains, etc. ( the kind of things little boys love). I excitely turned to the internet to find the perfect accomodations for our family. A cabin in the Colorado Rockies would be perfect. Although I did want this trip to be a learning experience for my son, I wanted creature comforts for my husband and myself. No "Frontier House" for me. WYSIWYG sounded like it was just the ticket.

We loaded up the minivan, put a John Denver CD in and began our journey. Somewhere in Kansas I began to worry. What if WYSIWYG was someones' idea of a practical joke? When we arrived at the cabin, I was relieved to find just what I had been promised...a cabin with rustic charm and a breathtaking view.

My favorite road trip was to Pine Valley Ranch Park. This open space park made us all Rocky Mountain High! We walked in the chilly waters of the river and hiked the trails. Loved it! Afterwards we had dinner right there in Pine at Elk Creek Station. Very Good. In Pine we saw a sign "Sphinx Park l mile" and decided to check it out. If you are a thrill seeker you might enjoy the jaunt. We followed the road probably farther than we should have and when a sign said, "Road Narrows" my husband said "How?" We all laughed nervously and found a place to turn around. The Eckermans give WYSIWYG cabin 3 thumbs up!

Thanks for a great vacation. I was looking for a place to get a way from it all and this cabin was perfect. The views are awesome, the mountain air smells wonderful and the howling animals really give it that rustic feeling !! I will definately recommend this place to those looking for a tranquil getaway.

A great cabin, true log construction. I LOVE IT! It's so nice to have a place like this to come relax, catch some sun, and watch the hummingbirds feast.

Great, peaceful location! We're leaving a day early to do some things in Denver. The kids are getting steer crazy. But we did have a good time. I hope they can control the fires soon. Such beautiful country burning! It makes me sad.

Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin. We had a very relaxing, wonderful time. Our last day was like being in a postcard we had 4" of SNOW. It was beautiful. Thank You again & God Bless You!!!

What a great getaway! We feel so lucky to have found your cabin on the internet. The view is spectacular. The wildlife is amazing. We saw elk, deer, a fox, and a small black bear who walked right up to the cabin. We heard coyotes and owls at night, & something that sounded like a bear growl. The hikes into Pike National Forest were breathtaking. Thanks so much- we plan to come back!

Thanks for providing an awsome setting for our Spring Break. We haven't had a vacationas relaxing. Though, we also managed to squeeze in a variety of experiences. We hiked the Meridian Trail and a trail at the bottom of Kenosha Pass, toured the area, played in the snow (it showed on our last day- yeah!), and snow shoed in Breckenridge (also on our last day). Thanks again!
